Heart patient appeals for financial support

An exiled Bhutanese suffering from acute heart disease has appealed for financial support to undergo heart operation at the Kathmandu-based Sahid Gangalal Heart Centre scheduled for August 2. Chandra Maya Bista, 40, of Beldangi-II under Sector F/1, Hut number 32, who is now admitted at the Centre, said she has so far collected a sum amounting to one hundred fifty thousands Nepalese currencies. “I wonder how I can manage the remaining one hundred thousands to undergo my heart operation before the schedule date”, she said appealing the BNS to bring the issue to the public notice for necessary help.
Exhibition on HIV/AIDS completes

A four-day photo and video exhibition’ on HIV/AIDS with the theme ‘Sexual Gender based Violence’ completed on July 18 in Beldangi camp.
Primary Health Care Project (PHP) under AMDA Nepal, which launched the exhibition, said a number of photos related to discrimination against domestic violence were displaced while some awareness creating videos were also screened on the exhibition.
The Project Director of AMDA Nepal Dr. Nirmal Rimal among other representatives of aid-agencies including the UNHCR was present on the inaugural session on July 15 in Beldangi camp.
Hundreds of exiled Bhutanese including members of camp management committee and heath staffs inside the camps participated in the exhibition.
